Peer Support Group Facilitation

Providing peer support to survivors of psychedelic harm can be a rewarding and healing experience for individuals on their healing path. Learning the basics of group facilitation, boundary setting, and crisis support can be helpful for those looking to create safe healing containers.

Risk Reduction & Psychedelic Safety

Evidence-based, unbiased education around the potential risks and benefits of psychedelics and consciousness-altering substances increases the overall health and safety of a community. SHINE provides workshops and training around risk reduction and safe use.

Compassion Fatigue & Provider Burnout

Practitioners who are working with psychedelics are frequently working with people in vulnerable and traumatic states. Creating and holding a safe container for processing extreme and traumatizing experiences can lead to burnout and symptoms of vicarious trauma. Awareness, community support and integration education can all help to improve care.

Restorative Justice & Non-Violent Communication (NVC)

Learning ways to work through community conflict through restorative justice and mediation processes help reduce harm to the greater communities we inhabit. Words matter and being able to communicate in a way that fosters compassion and understanding can be powerful when engaging in community discourse.
